Pastor Francis in Central India (last name and city are withheld for security) needs a cell phone for ministry purposes. He travels extensively into rural areas on a motorbike Acorn donors provided him a few weeks ago to carry out evangelistic and discipleship ministries. A cell phone will provide greater personal safety and communication with ministry partners. He also will use the photo and video capability of the phone for ministry development. Good-quality cell phones are expensive in India, but Acorn believes this will be a good gospel-advance tool.
